About

Hello there! Thank you for dropping by!

I’m a writer, actor, theatre maker and puzzle compiler based in Oxfordshire. I’ve worked as writer and actor for a range of organisations from Theatre Peckham to the Royal Opera House and, alongside theatre and comedy, I’ve enjoyed jobs in radio, TV and publishing.

Plays include The Magic Tea Kettle, Nourish, Aladdin and Anne Frank: Public Face, Private Child. Favourite acting work for other people includes Mrs Plug the Plumber at Theatre Peckham and Henry and Elizabeth for Chris Goode’s national ‘homes’ tour. Over the years, I’ve also found myself script-editing EastEnders, copywriting for national newspapers, compiling puzzles and quizzes for magazines and websites, and providing myriad voices for children’s radio. Further details are in my performance and writing CVs.

I love theatre that is, like life, simultaneously hilarious and heart-rending and I’m fundamentally a sentimental old goat.

You can follow me on twitter at twitter.com/aclairetaylor and I hope to see you soon!

All the best,

Claire
